UAE Amnesty Program, Possible AI Usage and Utilization of Collaborators

  The UAE government has announced an amnesty program for visa violators in August 2024, that will run for two (2) months starting 1 September 2024.  As of this writing, there is no announcement yet as to  specific amnesty program related to AI or artificial intelligence.  However, given the country's history of offering such initiatives, it's advisable to keep an eye on official government channels and news outlets for updates. Per Arabian Business online , "The Authority declared its intention to employ advanced technology and AI to execute the decision and simplify procedures, aligning with the directive to reduce governmental red tape." When a new amnesty program is announced, the UAE government intends to  employ AI to streamline the process and make it more accessible. Here's how AI is likely to be used, according to AI: 1. Online Registration and Verification : Automated platforms : The government may launch online portals where individuals can register the

Embracing Change: How New Technologies Can Help Transform Businesses in Dubai, UAE

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, embracing new technologies has become imperative for companies to stay competitive and achieve sustained growth. Dubai, United Arab Emirates, renowned for its innovation and forward-thinking approach, offers numerous opportunities for businesses to leverage cutting-edge technologies and revolutionize their operations. There are still many businessmen who want the traditional way of doing business. But as John F Kennedy said, Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. In the dynamic business landscape of Dubai, embracing change and adopting new technologies are essential for companies to thrive and remain relevant. Just as John F. Kennedy emphasized, businesses must not cling to the past or be content with the present; instead, they must look forward and embrace the possibilities that new technologies offer. By doing so, they can position themselves as pioneers in their ind

COVID-19 :: Some Ramdom Thoughts

As of this writing,  Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases by Johns Hopkins CSSE shows that there are 95,748 confirmed cases .  (Philippines - 3 | UAE - 28 | Mainland China - 80,411) I feel very sad because it has claimed 3,286 lives and scared because this disease is very deadly. There are articles that say that there was a patient who recovered already but got reinfected so what will happen to 53,423 patients who were cleared already? May they recover fully well soon. The World Health Organization (WHO) together with medical scientists work round-the-clock to be able to come up with medicines and ways that will defeat COVID-19 within the shortest time possible. Likewise the government bodies of many countries formulate and implement policies to combat the same because the impact on the economy and other aspects of life, is huge. As I recalled how 2020 greeted us with some disasters, I remembered the violent eruption of Taal Volcano in our place on 12 January 2020. Since the l

Consumption Expenditures

The private consumption expenditure per capita (for each person) has risen to AED5,250 compared to AED4,650 during the same period last year. This is according to the leading newspaper Gulf News . Despite a challenging period, the spending improved which helps the economy to keep afloat, as people's spending helps the providers of durable and non-durable goods and services and their employees. This is one of the challenges of promoting artificial intelligence (AI) in businesses. The companies save a lot of costs utilizing machines instead of manpower. We read articles on robots replacing human resources like receptionists in the hotels, waitresses in the restaurants, etc. but those robots do not spend for goods and services, unlike human beings who do spend for themselves and their families, thereby helping the economic cycle, and pay taxes while spending (and earning, in other countries), so they help the government defray its expenses. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE),

Support Business Owners

The creation of many business opportunities is important for a government to implement its development projects in the covered territory and to retain its important assets:  human resources.  It helps to send local talented and skilled people to other countries to benefit from money transmittal, but there are many things that have to be sacrificed like brain drain, broken families, mental health problems due to depression of children longing for parental love and guidance, reduction of number of men to support and protect the families and communities particularly in case of emergencies, etc. Poverty is one main reason people leave their families and countries despite its rich natural resources. Minds even at an early are programmed to finish studies and work as an employee until the last day before retirement. If only many people will have the entrepreneurial mindset, the poverty rate will go down. The creation of many entrepreneurs will result in the creation of many job

How Do You Prepare for AI Economy?

Long time back we saw robots and automated things only in movies. These days we see many things being done through machines via artificial intelligence (AI). Soon many more jobs will be unmanned. How do you feel if a robot will greet you at the reception area of a building? Or if a robot will take your order when you go to a restaurant? Will you feel safe if you ride in a driverless car, boat or airplane? How does food cooked by a robot taste? Will you be happy if you have a robot mate or electronic lover? Will you trust a robot to perform surgery on you? For many companies, this will save a lot of costs as government-mandated benefits will not be extended to them. There will also be no issue on disciplinary actions as they will serve their purposes as programs, and there will be fewer labor disputes. What will people whose jobs are to be taken by automation, do then? If many will lose jobs then the consumption of goods and services will be lesser so it will affect the econom
